Neo-Baroque Framed Crucifix
Neo-Baroque Framed Crucifix
Beautiful Neo-Baroque Catholic devotional art. The silver-colored corpus is made from either cast spelter, tin alloy, or silver-washed brass, all common from 1890-1940. The sage and gold colored frame is a mix of wood and plaster. Crucifixes under convex (domed or "bubble") glass in ornate wooden/plaster frames were quite popular in late-19th through early-20th century Europe.
