The chasuble is a sleeveless outer garment; one of the vestments used in the Roman Catholic Church. The chasuble is the main garment of the bishop and the priest during the Eucharist. The word "chasuble" comes from the Latin word "casula," meaning "little house.
This particular chasuble is made out of silk and satin, adorned with medieval inspired embroidery. It comes with the matching maniple, stole and chalice veil. Keep in mind this is an item that has been loved, used and respected. Do not expect a squeaky clean garment. It has visible usage and age. It's simply a magnificent item with a long history.
