Enamel Pendant Guardian Angel

Gorgeous enamel pendant showing a guardian angel holing a baby. The back is copper, the front is an enamel artwork. This technique involves applying a mixture of ceramic powder and water onto a metal base (often bronze or red copper), which is then fired in a kiln at high temperatures to fuse the enamel. This was a common motif for baptismal or nursery gifts.
