Expanded altar version of a Roman Missal, reformed by Pope Pius X and promulgated under Pope Benedict XV. Pope Pius X had undertaken a substantial reform of the Roman Breviary and began reforms to the liturgical calendar and Missal. The 1920 promulgation under Benedict XV brought these changes into the official Roman Missal. The 1921 Dessain printing is therefore part of the first generation of Missals implementing this new post-Pius-X form. This missal has been used for the Haarlem diocesan, a later addition from 1947 which has been added in the back confirms this. With extra later added pages to honor Saint Willibrord.
Red leather binding with large embossed cross with rays on the front and back with gilded edges. All leather markers are still present. All artworks are photographed. Four larger tears, these have been photographed along side all earlier tape ''restorations''. The earliest added pages are from 1947, the last one is from 1956, 4 added pages/chapters in total.
